Many professional bags are designed like purses and have a feminine appearance. They don't have a lot of structure and don't fit very well. This is a high-quality bag. If you're wondering about the size, I carry a 13-inch Macbook Pro, an iPad, all of the chargers, as well as large business note pads and folders. There is still plenty of space. If I need to carry a large coffee mug or water bottle, it will expand. That wouldn't work in a short case. Most of the time, this bag will stand on its own. After 6 months of use, I'm glad I went with this model.
