Product Care
At Manntara, we specialize in crafting products from enduring materials. Proper care ensures your products maintain that luxurious appearance for years to come. To help you preserve the pristine look of your items, we provide the following guidance and tips.
For Stainless Steel and Sterling Silver:
Care
Avoid exposure to products containing harmful chemicals like perfume, lotion, or sunscreen. Water contaminants like chlorine can also cause issues, so it's advisable to remove jewelry before swimming in pools or the ocean.
Prevent physical damage by removing jewelry before engaging in activities like exercising or sleeping, as these can lead to scratches, dents, or breakage.
Storage
After wearing, gently wipe your jewelry with a microfiber cloth to remove dirt and oils, then store it in the provided Manntara box. Store the jewelry in a cool, dry place and keep it separated from other items to prevent scratching.
Cleaning
Submerge your jewelry piece in a bowl of water with mild detergent-free soap. Use a soft-bristled brush to delicately scrub the piece, ensuring thorough cleaning. Rinse meticulously and lightly dry by patting with a soft microfiber cloth.
Avoid using silver polish or dip-style cleaning solutions as they are not recommended.
For 18K Gold:
Care
To maintain the beauty and longevity of your 18K gold-bonded jewelry, avoid exposure to chemicals found in products like perfume, lotion, or sunscreen. These substances can cause tarnishing or wear on the gold layer. It is also advisable to remove your jewelry before swimming in chlorinated pools or saltwater, as these environments can degrade the gold finish over time.
Protect your jewelry from physical damage by removing it before engaging in activities such as exercising or sleeping. Rough contact can lead to scratches, dents, or chipping of the gold layer.
Storage
After each wear, gently wipe your jewelry with a microfiber cloth to remove any accumulated dirt and oils. Store the piece in the provided Manntara box or a soft pouch, ensuring it is kept in a cool, dry place. To prevent scratching, store each piece separately, away from other jewelry or hard surfaces.
Cleaning
To clean your 18K gold-bonded jewelry, prepare a bowl of lukewarm water mixed with a mild, detergent-free soap. Submerge the jewelry and use a soft-bristled brush to gently clean the surface, paying close attention to crevices. Rinse the piece thoroughly under clean water and dry it by lightly patting with a soft microfiber cloth.
Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive materials, or dip-style cleaning solutions, as they can damage the gold layer and reduce the lifespan of your jewelry.
For Onyx Stone:
Care
Onyx is a delicate and porous stone that requires special attention. To preserve its natural beauty, avoid exposing your onyx jewelry to harsh chemicals found in products like perfume, lotion, or hairspray, as these can cause discoloration or damage to the stone. Additionally, onyx is sensitive to extreme temperatures and can be easily scratched, so it's advisable to remove your jewelry before swimming, exercising, or engaging in activities that may cause physical impact.
Storage
After wearing, gently wipe the onyx stone and surrounding metal with a soft, microfiber cloth to remove any oils or dirt. Store your onyx jewelry in the provided Manntara box or a soft pouch, in a cool, dry place. Keep it separate from other pieces to prevent scratches, particularly because onyx is softer and more prone to surface damage.
Cleaning
Clean your onyx jewelry by gently wiping the stone with a damp, soft cloth. If deeper cleaning is needed, use a small amount of mild, detergent-free soap diluted in water. Carefully clean the stone and metal with a soft-bristled brush, avoiding excessive water exposure to the stone. Rinse with a damp cloth rather than submerging the entire piece, and dry it immediately with a soft microfiber cloth.
Avoid using ultrasonic cleaners, steam cleaners, or harsh chemicals on onyx, as these can permanently damage the stone.
For Genuine Leather and Full-grain Leather:
Care
While your leather product is new and shiny, it's best to avoid exposing it to water as a precaution. If the bag does get wet from rain, promptly wipe it dry. This is crucial because new leather has oils close to the surface, and prolonged water exposure can leave marks as water becomes trapped between the surface and oils.
Over time, these marks will fade as the leather absorbs water. Hence, there's no need to worry if your bag gets wet. As the leather breaks in and loses its initial shine, water will be absorbed without leaving marks. Our customers use our bags in rainy climates without any issues.
We recommend applying a small amount of leather wax and vigorously rubbing it into the leather using a sponge. To reduce or remove scratches, apply the leather wax to the affected area and gently bend the leather. Use leather waxes as needed or whenever the leather shows signs of dryness.
Storage
Store your leather goods in a cool, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight or fluorescent lighting.
